Jim Leyland’s No. 10 will be retired by the Detroit Tigers during a ceremony on August 3. The team announced this honor on Monday, marking the 10th number retired by the franchise.

Leyland, 79, will be inducted into baseball’s Hall of Fame next month, becoming the 23rd manager to receive this prestigious honor. Over his 22-season career, he amassed 1,769 regular-season wins.
