AC Milan Icon Alessandro Costacurta: ‘Right now, Inter is stronger than Milan and the favorite to win the Serie A title.’

Former Rossoneri legend Alessandro Costacurta believes Inter Milan are currently a stronger team than AC Milan.

The Milan veteran told Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport in an interview published in yesterday’s print edition, via FCInterNews, that the Nerazzurri are the favorites to win the Serie A title this season.

At the moment, Inter and Milan are at the top of the Serie A table.

The city rivals are the only teams in the Italian top flight to have won three games in a row.

Furthermore, the records of the two teams are practically comparable.

Inter’s three clean sheets outnumber Milan’s – the Rossoneri have surrendered two goals in three games.

However, both Milan derby teams have scored eight goals. And both have won their first league matches convincingly.

However, according to former Rossoneri defender Costacurta, Inter are still the superior team.

“Inter are the strongest team,” Costacurta remarked of the Serie A title fight. Following that, I’ll say Napoli, then Milan.”
