Milwaukee Bucks President Peter Feigin Announces Exciting News: Major Expansion for Deer District and New Fan Initiatives
Milwaukee, WI – In a thrilling development for basketball fans and the city of Milwaukee, Bucks President Peter Feigin has announced a bold new expansion plan for the Deer District, the vibrant entertainment hub surrounding Fiserv Forum. Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Feigin revealed that the organization will break ground on a $200 million mixed-use development designed to further transform the area into a year-round destination for sports, dining, culture, and community.
“This isn’t just about basketball—it’s about building a better Milwaukee,” said Feigin. “The Deer District has already changed the way people experience the city. Now, we’re taking it to the next level.”
The new expansion will include a luxury hotel, residential apartments, expanded retail spaces, green public plazas, and a multi-level event center that will host concerts, esports, and fan experiences on non-game days. The project is expected to generate more than 1,000 new jobs during construction and another 500 permanent positions once operational.
Feigin emphasized that the expansion reflects the Bucks’ long-term commitment to the city. “We want this to be a place where families, students, and tourists can gather and feel part of something bigger,” he said. “It’s about culture, commerce, and community.”
Alongside the development, the Bucks also announced several fan-focused initiatives, including:
- A new mobile app experience to enhance visits to Fiserv Forum
- A membership rewards program for ticket holders and Bucks merch buyers
- A partnership with local schools for educational and sports mentorship programs
Reactions from city officials and Bucks fans have been overwhelmingly positive. Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson praised the initiative, saying, “Peter Feigin and the Bucks continue to set the bar for how a sports franchise can uplift its city.”
Construction on the new phase of the Deer District is expected to begin in early 2026, with key portions opening to the public by late 2027.
With Peter Feigin’s leadership, the Milwaukee Bucks are not just chasing championships on the court—they’re also cementing their legacy as a team deeply invested in the future of their city and fans.
