Newcastle United beat Manchester United yet again on Saturday night, and it was largely down to the brilliance of Kieran Trippier.
Anthony Gordon scored the only goal of the game, and it was one of the easiest he has ever scored in a Newcastle shirt.
It was made possible by Kieran Trippier, who gave the 22-year-old an easy tap in at the back post after some wonderful buildup play.
The move actually started with Trippier, who used all of his determination to win back possession high up the pitch. Some neat interplay with Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes eventually led to the right-back finding space in the box, where his perfectly weighted pass allowed Gordon to give Newcastle the lead.

There is added incentive for Trippier to perform at this level, as he is seeing firsthand what Tino Livramento is capable of – the man who has been brought in to eventually replace him in the Newcastle starting XI.
Right now, Eddie Howe has stumbled across a way to get them both in the team and thriving, and it was Trippier’s magic pass that gave Newcastle a richly deserved victory against an abject Manchester United side.
