Brian Kelly might not have done a great job with the high school recruiting class, but he is cleaning up in the transfer portal.

Earlier on Monday, the LSU Tigers secured a commitment from Florida in defensive end Jack Pyburn and a few hours later got one of the top cornerbacks in the portal with former Virginia Tech cornerback Mansoor Delane.

The Tigers desperately needed a huge boost in the transfer portal after losing out on prized five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood along with missing out on a couple of of five-star recruits as well, including in-state edge rusher Jahkeem Stewart, who committed to USC .

Delane has some talent at the cornerback position, including some high grades from the National Football League. Delane had four interceptions with the Hokies this past season.

He is set to join a loaded transfer portal class that includes quarterback Michael Van Buren from Mississippi State and wide receiver Barion Brown from Kentucky.

The Tigers are set to be in a great spot moving into the 2025 season.
