Brisbane Lions CEO Greg Swann said the Club was thrilled to have Fagan extend his tenure during an exciting era.
“Extending Chris’ contract was an easy decision because he has shown since we first appointed him that he was a special coach,” Swann said.
The Brisbane Lions have backed premiership coach Chris Fagan to continue to lead the club forward, extending his contract for two years.
Fagan, who was already contracted for next season, will now remain at Brighton Homes Arena until at least the end of 2027.
The Lions were bottom of the ladder when Fagan took over for the 2017 season, now ahead of his ninth year they are reigning premiers.
“His on-field record speaks for itself having led the club to a Premiership this season, a Grand Final last year and six consecutive finals series in total.
