three-star Elite LB recruit flips commitment to Georgia Bulldogs…

The Georgia Bulldogs continued to strengthen their defensive class on Saturday, with three-star linebacker Anthony Kruah of Marietta, Georgia’s Marietta High School announcing his decision to flip his commitment from UNC to Georgia.

Kruah, who has been committed to the Tar Heels since April of this year, becomes the No. 24 commit in the Class of 2025 for the Bulldogs. He is the second linebacker pledge of the cycle, joining Industry-Ranked five-star Zayden Walker of Schley County.

Currently, Kruah ranks as the nation’s No. 481 overall prospect for the 2025 cycle in the On3 Industry Ranking. He stands as the No. 52 overall linebacker in the class and No. 60 prospect in the Peach State per the same metric.

While the news may have come down just today, it was a culmination of a lengthy and heavy pursuit from the Bulldogs that began in the spring, saw an offer come in late May, and included several visits to Athens along the way.

“It may have taken a while, I’m an underrated kid and I’m just now getting the exposure,”Kruah told DawgsHQ’s Jeremy Johnson of the opportunity when first offered. “I appreciate the opportunity that they’ve given me.”

With his ‘dream school’ offer in hand, an official visit in late June was also compelling for Kruah in his thought process.

“Me and Coach [Glenn] Schumann have been in contact a lot since March. Our connection has always been there. Now, I’m getting to know the other coaches on the staff. I’m getting to know Kirby a little bit more,” he said at the time. “They’re just great guys. They’re great individuals on and off the field and they’re fathers. So that was good seeing that they know how to treat young men and how to build love and build character.”
