Abdul Fatawu gives Leicester City the feeling that Enzo Maresca knows everybody wants
The Ghanaian winger made a big impact on his first start for the club, creating excitement and chances from the right wing in the 1-0 victory over Bristol City on Saturday
Every time Abdul Fatawu touches the ball, Enzo Maresca feels he evokes a feeling desired by both managers and supporters.
The adolescent Ghanaian impressed on the right side in Leicester City’s 1-0 win over Bristol City on Saturday. He blended mobility and output, routinely beating full-back Cameron Pring and providing enticing crosses for teammates.
His speed and willingness to attack his marker got fans out of their seats, but they weren’t the only people inside the King Power Stadium keen to see him get the ball at his feet. Fatawu’s manager was excited too.
“Abdul is a real winger,” Maresca said. “This is the kind of winger I like. Every time he receives the ball, you as a journalist, the fans, me as a manager, you always have a feeling something will happen. This feeling is good. He’s this kind of a winger.
