Seahawks make 3 roster moves including elevating the oldest active player in the NFL

Jason Peters has over a year on the next oldest actice player

A few changes have been made ahead of the Cleveland Browns’ Week 8 visit to the Seattle Seahawks late Sunday afternoon. There are worries over two of the players classified as questionable for tomorrow’s game because Cleveland elevated two players from their practice squad.

Seattle’s move on Saturday to promote offensive lineman Jason Peters from the practice squad for this week may have been motivated by their own concerns on the injury list.

The oldest player still playing in the NFL is 41-year-old Peters. The next closest player, who won’t turn 40 until early in December, is the injured Aaron Rodgers. Throughout his career, Peters has participated in an amazing 240 games, making 219 starts.

With the Dallas Cowboys, the seasoned offensive tackle appeared in 12 games with one start the previous season.

Phil Haynes, the linebacker, is questionable, so Peters might start in place of him or serve as crucial insurance on the field against the formidable Browns defense.

The Seahawks also activated WR Dee E

skridge after he completed his six-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Eskridge’s lawyer provided a statement to ESPN about the cause for the suspension:

To make room for Eskridge, Seattle released OL Joey Hunt who had just been signed off the practice squad the week prior.
