23-year-old Wolves star rubbing shoulders with Foden and Mitoma, after 3-2 defeat to Palace

Wolves were defeated today by Crystal Palace, but there was one little consolation in the form of Pedro Neto, who put in a good effort at Selhurst Park.

Wanderers were defeated by the Eagles once more in London.

Selhurst Park has never been a good hunting ground for Wolves, and today was no exception.

Gary O’Neil’s team was just inept in key occasions.

They used the ball marginally more effectively than Palace.

However, Roy Hodgson’s men were more clinical on the day.

O’Neil has a lot of work to do throughout the international break. But the management will be encouraged by Neto’s performance…

No player has more assists than Pedro Neto in the Premier League

Wolves had a bad day at the office today.

However, Neto can raise his head higher than some of his teammates.

While he didn’t blow Palace away, he was definitely the standout player for Wolves.

He looked to get the ball into the box the most often and was definitely a threat.

Neto was the provider for both Wolves’ goals today, putting in two excellent balls from the left side for Hwang Hee-chan and Matheus Cunha.

And as a result of his involvement in the two goals, Neto is actually now joint-top of the assist chart in the Premier League.

He has three for the season, along with Manchester City’s Phil Foden, Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma and West Ham United’s James Ward-Prowse.

Neto heading in the right direction for Wolves

It’s good to see Neto having an impact on games again.

He wasn’t at his best today, and yet he still made two contributions for Wolves.

His delivery into the box is really good at times, and moving forwards he will be a dangerous weapon for Wolves.

This is going to be a very hard season.

So Wolves could really do with Neto recapturing the form he showed a couple of seasons ago. He has at least started the season fairly brightly.
