Aaron Rodgers is ready to run it back without injuries for the New York Jets

Although he was on the sidelines supporting his teammates all season, Aaron Rodgers doesn’t feel like last season can count as much because he didn’t really play at all. On Thursday, he spoke to media outlets to tell them how he feels about getting back at it. He said: “I have a lot of pride in my performance. When I take the field, I expect greatness because I’ve done it before and that’s kind of standard to hold myself to. I mean, there might be a little smirk after the fourth [snap]. I don’t know. We’ll see. I’ve always kind of played with something on my shoulder. You got to, you know, manufacture things from time to time. But yeah, I mean, it’s kind of goes back to the prove it. Who would I need to prove it to? Just myself at this point.”

On Monday Night Football, the New York Jets run it back with Aaron Rodgers by their side against the San Francisco 49ers once again. Jets fans will try to keep it as if nothing happened and Aaron Rodgers just arrived this past summer. Fingers crossed he remains healthy all season. But more importantly, hopefully he hasn’t lost his skill to pay football. Achilles tendon injuries are known for never allowing the athlete to be himself again. There are some great exceptions to this rule but very few of them. Will Rogers come back to his best?
